The all new Canados 888 Evo has been launched...
Entirely designed in house, her custom interiors are stunning. A mixture of washed satin oak and high gloss marquetry of Ebony of Macassar gives her a modern art-deco style. All in house build furniture have been designed with rounded edges and are all equipped with indirect strip LED lights giving the impression, when it gets dark, that they are floating in the air.
The boat is equipped with a heavy duty tender lift and a tender garage with a Williams 3,85 m jet tender. The aft deck, the largest in the category, comes with a forward-facing Futon styled sofa allowing to have lunch overlooking the water instead of the superstructure. The custom build accordion glass door from Opacmare allows to entirely open the main deck salon to the aft deck creating an incredible step-less gigantic living space. A very convivial yacht, the aft bulkhead of the Boffi kitchen electrically slides down to open to the dining area and saloon. The boat having been christened Ursus, this sliding bulkhead is highlighted by a black and white photo of a brown bear.
The rich, yet elegant interiors are in addition of noble materials completed by B&B Italia dining chairs and all the upholstery is made of Poltona Frau leather.
Down below, the 4 cabins, two guests, one VIP and the full beam master suite are all decorated the same, using identical material as on the main deck. Bathrooms are equipped with custom-made wash basins in Striato Olimpico marble. Every TV is installed behind a mirror making it invisible when not in use.
The flying bridge is protected by a hard top with central opening curtain. It is equipped with a bar furniture, sun pad to fore protected by the reversed windshield, dining table for 8 to 10 guests and a saloon with loose furniture by Talenti as part of the standard dotation.
The sides full-height windows of the superstructure not only give the boat a stunning appearance, they also offer unobstructed views to the water from wherever people are standing onboard. The hull is painted in a dark metallic grey while the superstructure is pearl white, changing tones depending on the light. To obtain the mirror effect, not less than four layers of painting and two layers of clear coat were necessary.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 Acert @ 1,925 hp, the 888 Evo is capable of a cruising speed of 27 knots for a top end in excess of 32 knots. The 888 Evo will be displayed at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
